Frequently Asked Questions

Health and Safety

  • Sessions are suitable for children 6 months (and sitting unaided) to 4 years of age.

  • Parent or carer accepts full responsibility for their child/ren and must be supervised at all times.

  • If you leave the messy play room for any reason please take your child/ren with you to ensure they remain in your care.

  • All materials are made with the knowledge they will be played with under constant supervision of a parent or carer.​

  • The messy play floor may become slippery. Please take caution and walk slowly around the stations to minimise the risk of slipping.

  • We STRONGLY recommend dressing your child and yourself in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or possibly stained. We take no responsibility or liability for any belongings (including clothes) that are stained, marked or damaged.

  • Please refrain from attending sessions if your child has a contagious illness.

  • All messy products are non-toxic however products provided are NOT intended to be eaten.

  • We do not use eggs, dairy, soy or nuts in any of our sessions. However, some products have allergy warning labels that state "may contain traces of" these products.

  • Please advise of any food allergies at time of booking and contact us directly to ensure our session is suitable for your little one.

Attendance

  • Please note that you take full responsibility for the session you have booked into. No refunds or sessions swaps will be given if you have booked your child into a session that does not accommodate their age range.

  • Please show your entrance email upon arrival to your booked session. We do not accept screen shots of emails.

  • Each ticket purchased includes entry for ONE supervising adult only. Please contact us directly should you require additional carers. 

  • Messy Mat Perth takes no responsibility should you not attend the session at the correct time. No refunds or session swaps will be given in this situation.

Payment

  • Payment is required at time of booking.

  • Payment includes GST.

  • Payment includes credit card charges.

  • Due to hire charges and material costs, payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes non-attendance due to illness.

Cancellations

  • Messy Mat Perth may have to cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances. All participants will be contacted and a gift voucher will be provided, which will be valid for 6 months from the date of cancellation.

Photo Consent

  • Photos and small video clips will be taken during messy play sessions and may be used for website, Facebook and Instagram material.

  • If you do not wish to have photos taken of yourself or your child please state this on your booking form. We will also always ask permission prior to taking photos.
